For those of you who are interested in travel, we spent
our "honeymoon" in this far away land. I brought a digital camera and published photos
while we were away. Yep, they have access to the net.
Our last days of the trip were spent back in Ubud.
We stayed at this "Home Stay" of a friend of ours. His brand
new rental place was located
outside of Ubud at the end of his rice field near a tropical forest.
This gave us the opportunity to attend a Fire Dance. To listen
to a
47K sample of this vocal only music, click the photo.
And a "Trance Dance" Where this gentleman ran through the fire
& hot coals.
And it gave us a chance to ride this elephant through the jungle.
A day in Kuta at the Hard Rock Hotel. It was sunny all day,
then we decided to take a picture.
Janet and I were beach bums for five days, jet skiing, parasailing,
sailing, and tanning. We spent a day in Kuta at the Hard Rock Hotel/Resort
(Wow!). Snorkeling off the Coral Reefs was spectacular.
Janet on the beach, the waves in the background are the edge of
the Coral Reef where we went snorkeling.
Pictures below are of a Balinese Temple, The rice fields, The Barong
Dance, and Janet in the Monkey forest.
Tanah Lot Temple on the sea during low tide.
Rice Paddies
The Barong Dance at a small town outside of Ubud.
The monkeys can be a little aggressive.
The guard is not really 8 feet tall, he's standing on a podium.
